Want to unpack a big idea or symbolically analyze a future plan? Maybe you'd like to explore the meaning of a word, or creatively brainstorm solutions to something that's been itching at you. Come discover the organizational process of visual and verbal mapping using techniques of textual branching, expressive lettering, and symbolic illustration. Plan to use black and white pens, then color markers on 8x10 paper. Learn to breathe, journey inside, and gain expressive clarity on an idea.
Before arriving, participants are asked to generate a simple motivational intention or a purposeful focus. A white, opaque office corrector pen such as Wite Out would be useful to bring, along with any personal supply of permanent and or water based markers, pens or watercolors in a variety of thick and fine points.
Card stock paper and a few colored markers and water pens will be provided. To see examples of the instructor's mind maps visitwww.rebeccaplummerrohloff.co

The art of setting intentions in our yoga practice is a powerful practice for energetically channeling the direction of our lives. How attuned are we to our own inner compasses, and what fears limit us from moving towards our greatest callings? This workshop will facilitate the meditative space to listen inward, self-dialogue, and visualize these emerging inspirations, followed by creative expression in movement, writing, symbolic drawing and mapmaking. The workshop will culminate in sharing and a closing ritual. Bring a symbolic object to place in our opening circle, a mat, a journal, and any drawing or collage supplies such as inspirational magazine images or quotes. Paper, colored pencils, watercolors, and markers will be provided. Get ready to soulfully change your brain and empower your actions.
